The staff is welcoming and explain all the food in details. Spicy prawn rice is great and the grilled veal loin is perfect. Definitely will recommend to other visitors

O Trovador

Have been to Portugal on previous occasions, first time in Alentejo region and I have to say that this was perhaps the greatest meal I&#39;ve had thus far. And there have been some pretty amazing ones. From the chef working the floor, the sommelier, the wait staff, the service and attention to detail, along with the food itself, was outstanding. A must visit if in Evora.

Amazing restaurant with a fantastic service The food is really good and the combinations are unique and amazing. The service is irreproachable, attentive, friendly and careful.

The prices drew us to this restaurant. 3 of us chose the same meal of carne de porco a alentejana and meals were different sizes. Presentation was average and so was the taste. Normally have this meal so I know what to expect. The waiter was very friendly but unfortunately, he tipped half a glass of red wine on the table and onto our clothes. He apologised but never offered another glass or discounted the meal.

Very inventive takes on unique traditional cuisine. Impeccable flavors, really well seasoned and thoughtful plating. Service was so kind and genuine.

Best thing about this restaurant is its waiters.  They make your group feel welcome and gave the best experience. I would go back and recommend the place to others.

It was a great experience by all means except the payment. They only except cash payment and we were not warned in advance. It was very unusual. Nevertheless the food, the service and the ambiance was quite nice. Go there with same cash reserve :-)

We were so lucky that our first choice was fully booked as O Trovador was excellent. Jaoa was a terrific server explaining the back ground of all the dishes we were interested in. Food, wine, ambience &amp; price - all excellent.

Quant restaurant away from the touristy area. Our server was amazing. Lots of knowledge and recommendations.  I feel like I had a traditional Portuguese meal. Highly recommend for anyone stopping in Evora.

The restaurant specializes in local food and wine. The food was outstanding. The service was excellent, and the pacing of the meal perfect. When I asked for a Negroni cocktail as a pre-dinner drink the waiter didn&rsquo;t know what it was, but the bartender quickly came up excellent version.
